In 2027, the line will release two purpose-built ships, the Star Compass and Celebrity Hunter, with travel plans along the Rhine and Danube. These ships are created to bring Star’s modern-day luxury approach to Europe’s rivers. A highlight will be the Magic Edge dining pods, cantilevered spaces that extend over the water for a brand-new take on riverfront dining. Visitors will also find expanded open decks, including shaded seating, a bar and grill, and an infinity-edge plunge pool– more outdoor space than normally discovered on river vessels.

The preliminary program includes 33 seven-night sailings on the Rhine and Danube, with itineraries including multiple ports in a single day, overnight stays, and curated expeditions like wine tastings in Austria and check outs to Budapest’s thermal baths. Visitors can also extend their vacations with pre- and post-cruise hotel stays.
Priority reservation opened in August with a refundable deposit, providing early visitors the first chance to protect bookings before the cruises officially go on sale in 2026.
