This was the first game for the Nations League against Austria. I had a ticket for this game as a part of the package I bought in spring. After a good performance from the national team in EURO 2024 local fans had a big appetite and the stadium in Stožice was almost full with around 15.000 people attending the game.
I went by car and had a problem finding a parking spot even payable one. I just left the car by the side of the road in the end. On entrance was crowded but on B stand we entered soon enough. Close by was Matej with the kids. A Coca-Cola with plastic glass, 4,5 €. Fans were creating a good atmosphere. Austrians filled part of the stands with red color.
The Austrian side started strongly, they almost scored in the first minute. But in the 15th minute after Stojanović’s great solo action, Slovenia got a penalty that was realized by Šeško. This lead didn’t last long, Laimer scored an equalizer. The result didn’t change until the end of the match. Slovenia got a good score against a better opponent.
