What began as a symbolic act for Earth Hour has progressed into a significant advocacy effort, with visitors of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts (MHR) across the country donating nearly 3,000 Sampaguita seedlings through the “Petals to Function” campaign. The turnover event for Job PEARLS happened on July 11, 2025, at the Task PEARLS Neighborhood in Bocaue, Bulacan. It was participated in by MHR executives, consisting of Eden Decano (Director of Finance), Charlene Go-Co (Head of Marketing Innovations), and Karlo Evangelista (Corporate Sustainability Manager), in addition to sustainability champs from each MHR home.

Our on-site teacher has actually begun integrating lessons about the flower, its meaning and cultural significance,” stated Monica Aclan, Deputy Executive Director of Task PEARLS.

In November 2024, MHR hosted a Sampaguita-themed Thanksgiving event in collaboration with Job PEARLS. Throughout this event, MHR planted 300 Sampaguita seedlings and helped with interactive neighborhood workshops, including storytelling, coloring, Sampaguita lei-making, and feeding programs, all motivated by the national flower.
