I think we remain in a time of over indulgence in Generative AI. I’m sure that I have actually been, anyhow. I seem like I’ve been sitting at the table for too long, packing myself with quick wins and all kinds of things being produced at the push of a button.
For a while there, I might pick it. I could tell what AI vs human writing. The indications existed (some still are). Em dashes, intricate overuse of words like tapestry and testament, a general interest that people don’t normally write with.
However with every day that passes, it’s ending up being increasingly more hard to find it.
Recently I bought some seeds (an understatement, just recently I bought many, lots of seeds from numerous different retailers across the country) Some arrived with stunning handouts, care directions, or QR codes to videos. But one struck me most– these ones from emperors matter 4 seeds.
A hand-addressed envelope, full of hand-written seed packages, butterfly sticker labels, and a charming little butterfly bag. It felt unique and personal. More importantly? I could understand and tell it was human made and created, simply for me.
This got me thinking, which resulted in some concerns …
On the web– how can we tell the very same? How will we understand and appreciate artisanal hand written human material? How will we progress to know that what we are consuming online is authentic, authentic, or maybe special and personal?
Are we going to deviate back towards looking for tiny signals? Of valuing flaws, spelling mistakes, and individual blogging designs that let us know more about where the content originated from?
What instructions are we approaching in order to sift through all the GenAI material and discover the digital artisans?
