For over 30 years, Accor Plus has been a paid loyalty subscription offered by ALL Accor Live Limitless with standout perks like a free hotel night, up to 50% off dining, and hotel discounts at brands like Sofitel, Pullman, and Fairmont. The program has long been a solid value for travellers based in or frequently visiting Asia Pacific.

Now, it’s getting rebranded as ALL Accor+ Explorer on October 1, 2025 — with more global benefits, more status nights, and a simplified structure, but at the cost of major downgrades to Stay Plus and dining benefits.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s changing—and whether the revamped program is still worth it.

What Is ALL Accor+ Explorer?

ALL Accor+ Explorer is the new single-tier version of Accor Plus that replaces all existing Accor Plus memberships, including Traveller, Explorer, Explorer Plus, Business Explorer, and Discovery.

Previously, the program offered slightly different membership types and pricing depending on your country of residence. The new version aims to standardize benefits across the board, expand discounts globally, and add more elite perks.

Starting October 1, 2025, all existing members will be automatically upgraded to the new ALL Accor+ Explorer benefits for the remainder of their current membership year.

Here’s what’s included with the new ALL Accor+ Explorer:

  • 2 Stay Plus Free Nights per year (Asia Pacific only, new rules apply)
  • 30 Status Nights per year (enough automatic Gold status)
  • 15% off Best Available Rates globally at 4,500+ properties
  • 30% off food, 15% off drinks at 1,600+ restaurants and 1,200+ bars in Asia Pacific
  • Access to Red Hot Rooms, More Escapes, and exclusive events

Previously, pricing varied by market, with some members able to take advantage of geo-arbitrage to save on fees. Now, the pricing is standardized at US$229 globally, removing any regional pricing quirks.

Here’s a quick look at what’s changing:

The Stay Plus Now Requires a Paid Night

This was arguably the most valuable perk of the program — a truly free night at any participating hotel in Asia Pacific, with no minimum stay required.

With ALL Accor+ Explorer, you’ll still receive two Stay Plus Free Nights per year — but with a catch. Each one must now be used as part of a minimum two-night stay, where at least one night is paid.

The free night will apply to the more expensive night in your booking (a small consolation), but only standard rooms are eligible, and you can redeem up to two per year.

If you have an unused Stay Plus night prior to October 1, it will convert into two Stay Plus Free Nights under the new rules. Those holding an Explorer Plus membership could see up to four converted, depending on usage.

If you’ve already booked a Stay Plus night before the switch, you’re in the clear — those bookings will be honoured as is.

Dining Discount Gets a Flat Rate (and a Cut)

Dining has long been one of the most valuable and easy-to-use benefits of Accor Plus — especially for those who frequently eat at hotel restaurants in Asia Pacific.

Under the existing tiered system, your discount depends on how many people are dining:

  • 25% off for a solo diner (member only)
  • 50% off when dining with one guest (member + 1)
  • 33% off for three diners (member + 2)
  • 25% off for four diners (member + 3)
  • Minimum 10% off for larger groups, with the total discount split equally among the group

In some countries like Australia and New Zealand, you could even combine multiple memberships at the same table to maximize savings — for example, two Accor Plus members dining with two guests could each apply the 50% discount to their half of the table.

From October 1, 2025, all that’s going away.

  • 30% off food for groups of 1–10 people
  • 10% off food and drinks for groups of 11–20 people
  • 15% off drinks, now valid across all of Asia Pacific, no food purchase required.

You’ll now get the same discount whether you dine alone or with up to nine others — and only one membership is required per table.

Notably, only one membership per table is required to enjoy the new flat discount — no more card-stacking to hit the 50% mark.

While the new model is simpler and offers better value for solo diners or family travellers, it’s a clear devaluation for couples who used to enjoy a reliable 50% off the food bill.

Accor+ Explorer Comes With 30 Status Nights

Under the current Accor Plus program, members receive 20 Status Nights per year, which is just enough to qualify for ALL Silver status in the ALL – Accor Live Limitless loyalty program.

Silver comes with a few basic perks, like priority check-in and a welcome drink, but nothing that truly moves the needle for frequent travellers.

With the new ALL Accor+ Explorer, members will receive 30 Status Nights every year — enough to unlock ALL Gold status right out of the gate. That’s a meaningful upgrade including benefits like:

  • Complimentary upgrades (subject to availability)
  • Early check-in / late check-out (subject to availability)
  • Welcome drink on arrival
  • Priority check-in
  • Boosted points earning rate on paid stays

Gold doesn’t include lounge access or guaranteed suite upgrades — those are reserved for Platinum and Diamond members — but it’s still a nice step up from Silver, especially if you stay at mid-range brands like Novotel or Mercure where upgrades are more common.

Plus, if you’re pushing for Platinum, this gives you a big head start. Since Platinum requires 60 Status Nights, you’re already halfway there just by holding the subscription.

Accor elite status is evaluated on a calendar year basis — meaning your Status Nights and Status Points reset every December 31.

So if you get your 30 Status Nights from the Accor+ Explorer membership on, say, October 1, 2025, you’ll enjoy Gold status until December 31, 2026. That’s because you’ll be granted status based on 2025 activity, and Accor gives you the rest of that year plus the entire next calendar year.

If you renew your membership in 2026, you’ll get another 30 Status Nights at the start of the new membership year, which will help you maintain Gold or push toward Platinum for 2027.

It’s one of the few ways to earn or retain elite status through a paid subscription, without needing to spend thousands of dollars on hotel stays.

Accor+ Explorer 15% Off Hotel Rates — With Restrictions

Accor Plus currently gives members 10% off publicly available rates in Asia Pacific, and in many cases, this discount could be combined with Accor’s ALL Member Rates or other promotions for additional savings.

That’s changing.

Under ALL Accor+ Explorer, members will now get 15% off Best Available Rates at over 4,500 properties globally, covering more than 30 Accor brands — from budget-friendly ibis to ultra-luxury Raffles and Fairmont.

This might sound like an upgrade at first glance, but there’s a key limitation: the 15% discount only applies to the Best Available Rate, and it cannot be combined with other promotional, member-exclusive, or advance purchase rates.

In many cases, the Best Available Rates is the most expensive rate category — especially when hotels are running sales or offering limited-time deals online. So while you’re technically saving more than before, you may not actually be getting the best price.

Booking must still be done through official Accor channels, either through the ALL app, Accor Plus website, or ALL.com to access the discounted rate.

This benefit is now valid worldwide, which does increase its flexibility if you travel outside Asia Pacific. But for deal hunters, the loss of stackable discounts means you’ll need to double-check if the Accor+ Explorer rate is truly the best option for your trip.

Is the New ALL Accor+ Explorer Worth It?

Whether or not ALL Accor+ Explorer is worth the US$229 annual fee depends entirely on how you plan to use it. Some benefits have improved, others have clearly taken a hit — and for longtime members, it may come down to whether the new version still fits your travel style.

Let’s break down the main perks and how they stack up under the new structure.

Two Stay Plus Free Nights — Still Valuable If You Choose the Right Hotel

The Stay Plus Free Nights are no longer truly “free,” but if you’re planning a two-night stay at a high-end property like Fairmont Singapore, you can easily recoup the annual fee with one redemption. The key is picking expensive properties where the paid night still makes the deal worthwhile.

Fairmont SingaporeFairmont SingaporeFairmont Singapore

The 30 Status Nights are a nice upgrade, giving you automatic Gold status and a head start toward Platinum. For travellers who stay at Accor properties regularly, this alone may justify the membership.

On the flip side, the dining benefit is a mixed bag. It’s a downgrade for couples who enjoyed the 50% off, but a win for families or groups who now get a consistent 30% discount — and don’t need to do any mental math at the table.

The 15% global hotel discount sounds better than the previous 10% APAC-only deal, but the inability to stack it with promo rates makes it less useful than it looks.

Overall, the value is still there — just more conditional than before. If you travel often in Asia Pacific, plan longer stays, and use the benefits with intention, the subscription can still be well worth the price.

What Happens to Existing Members?

All current Accor Plus members will be automatically upgraded to ALL Accor+ Explorer on October 1, 2025, for the remainder of their existing membership year.

If you’re not happy with the changes, a pro-rated refund is available — but only if you purchased your membership directly from Accor Plus (via cash or points) before August 5, 2025.

Keep in mind that cancelling your membership means you’ll lose any unused Stay Plus nights, forfeit your 30 Status Nights, and any bookings involving Stay Plus will be cancelled, including any attached paid nights.

Conclusion

The launch of ALL Accor+ Explorer marks a major shift for Accor’s paid loyalty program. While there are some genuine improvements — like more elite nights and a broader hotel discount — many of the core benefits that made Accor Plus such a no-brainer have been significantly scaled back.

The free night is no longer free, the dining discount is no longer 50%, and the ability to extract maximum value now depends heavily on where and how you travel.

If you regularly stay at Accor properties in Asia Pacific and can plan around the new Stay Plus restrictions, there’s still a path to strong value.

But for casual users or those who joined primarily for dining perks and short-stay freebies, the revamped program may no longer justify the annual fee.

Make sure to weigh your travel plans and don’t forget to take advantage of the refund option if the new setup doesn’t suit your needs.
