On Friday after work I picked up a drink at Roza slon. Gregor, Tedej, Sven, Sergej and his coworker are there. I even win a game of Fifa. I move to Mala terase where Andreja is waiting for me. She still needs to finish something for work before we head to Kongresni trg. Here is the traditional Summer season Night performance, which opened the 73rd Ljubljana Festival. This time the performance was called This Night is Mine as a homage to Janez Bončina Benč (on the 60th anniversary of his profession).
Paid tickets implied a seat in a fenced area. We were looking for the closest position outside the fence with a large number of listeners. The occasion ass hosted by Bernarda Žarn and Jurij Zrnec. The instrumental part was covered by the Chamber orchestra and Big Band of RTV Slovenia under the direction of conductor Patrik Grebl.
In addition to Benč, the vocal part was covered by Alenka Godec, Tinkara Kovač, Anika Horvat, Ana Soklič, Aleksandra Ilijevski, Karin Zemljič, Matevž Šalehar Hamo, Bojan Cvjetićanin, Gregor Ravnik, Andraž Hribar, Sergej Škofljanec and Tomo Jurak. In the meantime, we go to Platana and enjoy the performance from the seats there. Benč, Magnifico, Žare are also there. After a great 2 hours, Ana Soklič ends the concert with the tune Poletna noč.
Andreja went home and I passed the Holidays bar and got to Zorica (Sladica occasion). Jernej has his 40th birthday there. Before I went home, I stopped at Metelkova.
