Our guide and driver got to our chosen lodgings in the city, as scheduled, simply after our breakfast in the morning.
Our first place to check out on the schedule, was to the beautiful; Palace of the Winds or the Hawa Mahal, situated right in the heart of; Old Pink City.
The Hawa Mahal Palace
This is a charming historical palace, that dates back to the year 1799. The structure has many floorings and high walls, developed for the women of the; Royal family. It was integrated in this way, so that they could observe the city streets and festivals, through the personal screened seeing openings, inside the Palace.
The Palace consists of; 5 big stories and 953 little, screened window viewing areas. An extremely distinct Palace to check out, with some excellent views of the city from inside.
This destination is certainly worth the go to, when spending time in the Pink City.
The Lovely Amber Fort
After a brief visit at the; Hawa Mahal, it was on to Jaipur’s major attraction, which is the Amber Fort( Amer Fort ). Found in the town of Amer, the Fort is approximately; 11 kilometers from the city.
Now a; UNESCO World Heritage Website, Amber Fort receives over 5000 visitors a day!
Building and construction started on this stunning fortress-palace of red and white sandstone, with its stunning marble, back in 1592.
This Fortress/Palace was preferably located at that time and tactically developed, on the top of a big hill. Visitors have the choice of riding elephants from the parking lot, approximately the Palace entrance, for a special included experience.
This Fort absolutely should not be missed, when visiting this part of Rajasthan in India. It’s not surprising that this Fort/Palace is the; top tourist attraction for visitors, to Jaipur.
View The Jal Mahal In Jaipur
From here we made our way back to the city, stopping to view the older; Water Palace or Jal Mahal. It’s uniquely set down out on a guy made lake, constructed in the 18th Century.
We then took pleasure in a stop at a local dining establishment for lunch, recommended by our guide. This stop is for your benefit if you wish to do so, and at your own cost.
After an early morning of walking and viewing these 2 charming Palaces, this lunch stop was a welcome break. We had a good relaxing buffet lunch, also providing us time to fuel up and recharge, for the next part of the tour.
Jaipur Jantar Mantar Observatory
After our lunch break, we were given time to take pleasure in a walk through the of the Pink City, if you wish to do so. It was then on to the Jantar Mantar Observatory, or the; House of Instruments.
“Jantar Mantar is perfect combination of the astronomical intelligence with the normal heritage of Rajasthan.”
This is an amazing park, with a collection of; 19 architectural huge instruments, built as far back, as the early 1700’s.
