Experience the Caribbean aboard MSC Cruises Seascape, the best family cruise ship, featuring a variety of activities for every member of your family.
MSC Cruises is the world’s third-largest cruise line, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. As it expands its North American itineraries in 2025 and 2026, US travelers can see why it’s a favorite among Europeans. Its fleets of US-based ships boast modern sophistication and big-ship amenities. Some of its Caribbean itineraries include a day at its private marine reserve, Ocean Cay.

The MSC Cruises Seascape
The best part of MSC Cruises is that it works perfectly for multi-generational groups. With 2,270 cabins across the MSC Seascape, passengers can choose from 12 types of staterooms and suites.
Each area of the ship offers its own vibe, which I found engaging. On the MSC Seascape, I found everything, from quiet nooks to the signature restaurants on Chef’s Court to pools for every type of traveler. Broadway-type shows, live music, and bottle-juggling bartenders are in the four-story atrium, adorned with staircases encrusted with 10,000 Swarovski crystals.
If traveling with kids, no problem; there’s a wild wet deck with waterslides and splash areas. The kids’ club offers separate age groups from babies to teens. There is a drop-in babysitting option for a dinner date while onboard.
If you’re on a girlfriend getaway, you’ll love the fact that the MSC Seascape features 19 bars and lounges. They are scattered across the ship, from poolside bars to nighttime clubs to upscale lounges with live music. The Aurea Spa offers a range of services, or get a day pass for the thermal area that includes a snow room and a pink salt lounge.
Complimentary Restaurants on MSC Cruises Seascape
Seascape’s main cabin passengers will have four complimentary restaurants, including the main buffet. The Marketplace Buffet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is open for a late-night snack service on Deck 16.
During my cruise, I ate lunch at the buffet. It was hopping, but most hot food lines were open. The buffet serves a range of international favorites, like a pasta station, pizza station, and grab-and-go hamburgers.

The overall theme of the Seascape is New York City, and that theme is carried throughout the restaurants and bars.
On Deck 5, the ship’s largest dining room, the Green Wave Restaurant pays homage to NYC.
The Aegean Restaurant is on Deck 7, Cala Jondale Restaurant is on Deck 6, and the Skyline Restaurant on Deck 7 is an exclusive dining room for those staying in the Aurea level rooms.
Signature Dining Package
Before your cruise, you can purchase a signature dining package. Options range from one night to five nights at a specialty restaurant onboard.
Each signature restaurant offers curated entrees for its signature guests, including wine, beer, and cocktails. Additional items and pricer items are added to your cruise account.
Butcher’s Cut
The MSC Cruise steakhouse onboard the Seascape is an American-style steakhouse. Butcher’s Cut serves premium cuts of Angus beef along with other options.
The dining room is refined, and the service is attentive. Butcher’s Cut offers optional al fresco dining on an adjacent deck. As a part of the signature dining experience, you can order one item from the appetizers or starters, one entree, and one dessert per person.
The Butcher’s Cut is located on Deck 8 Aft. It is open for lunch and dinner, but reservations are required.

Kaito Teppanyaki
During my cruise, we dined at Kaito Teppanyaki on our last night. Teppanyaki is a fun experience, with diners at each table chatting and enjoying a show while the Teppanyaki Chef cooks food for the table.
The protein served differentiates the teppanyaki levels. For the signature dining experience, diners will get the Sencho option. With Sencho, I started with Miso Soup and then snacked on a teppan salad, which all diners received.
This is the most in-demand signature restaurant. Kaito Teppanyaki is located on Deck 8 Aft. It offers three seating options, and reservations are required.
Kaito Sushi Bar
Kaito Sushi Bar is a must for sushi lovers. Its rotating sushi bar is located next to the Teppanyaki Tables of the same name. The Kaito Sushi Bar is located on Deck 8 Aft. It is open for lunch and dinner.

Ocean Cay Restaurant
The Ocean Cay Restaurant is elegantly decorated. During our visit, we sat at a table overlooking the entire dining room, one of the most sophisticated spaces on the Seascape.
The seafood and fish-focused menu offers an exceptional selection for those on the Signature dining experience. Diners can select an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert with a special selection of wine by the glass, beer, and cocktails. The Ocean Cay Restaurant is located on Deck 8 Aft. It is open for lunch and dinner, and reservations are required.

Hola! Taco & Cantina
Hola! Taco & Cantina offers a fun ambiance and is the most relaxed of the signature dining experiences. Its menu offers a mix of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. This restaurant also offers an all-you-can-eat option.
Hola! Taco & Cantina is located on Deck 8 Mid. It is open from noon to 10 p.m.
Cocktail Lounges on MSC Seascape
The MSC Seascape features 19 bars and lounges scattered throughout the ship, from poolside bars to nighttime bars to upscale lounges with live music.
Most pools offer a nearby bar, like the indoor Jungle Pool Beach Bar. The Infinity Bar is another popular spot near the adults-only pool.
Highlights include the Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar on Deck 7 Mid and the Wine Cellar on Deck 8 Mid. The Champagne and Wine Bar is located on Deck 7 Mid.
Some bars and lounges are open in the evening only, like the Uptown Lounge, located on Deck 8 Aft. Le Cabaret Rouge offers live entertainment and cocktails on Deck 7 Aft.

The MSC Yacht Club Experience
The MSC Seascape’s Yacht Club suites are some of the finest in the fleet. Located on the ship’s top decks, a separate wristband is required to access the area.
From the moment Yacht Club guests arrive at their departure port, passengers are expedited through the onboarding process. They will find a dedicated boarding area with luggage drop-off.
Dining in the MSC Yacht Club
The main MSC Yacht Club Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The elegant dining room offers sweeping views over the ship’s bow, on Deck 16.
The MSC Yacht Club Restaurant features themed nights throughout the cruise. The formal night is a cruise favorite, and the menu features surf and turf.
Top Sail Lounge
I stopped into the Top Sail Lounge in the morning for a quick barista-made coffee. In the evenings, we would have a drink before we headed upstairs for dinner. It featured live music in the evenings and offered a refined yet relaxed vibe.
On the second sea day of our cruise, the Top Sail Lounge pulled out a tea cart and white gloves for Afternoon Tea. We were greeted with a glass of champagne, and then we enjoyed live bossa nova music.

The MSC Cruises Seascape Yacht Club Solarium
On the top deck, Deck 20, Yacht Club members will find an expansive outdoor solarium with a pool and two whirlpools. One overlooks the ship’s bow. The other is found along the side of the ship.
I found a selection of single and double loungers with a chair cocktail service. Cabanas are available, too. The attached bar serves a selection of wine, cocktails, and beer.
The One Pool Buffet is popular for quick meals on port days. It offers an international selection of breakfast favorites, including made-to-order egg dishes. It also serves lunch and afternoon snacks.

My Seascape Yacht Club Deluxe Suite
Each stateroom uses a Sterling, Graphite, and Sea Blue color palette with nautical details and marine life art. The Yacht Club feels spacious, with each having a large balcony, separate sleeping and lounging spaces, and a black marble bathroom.
My suite featured an upholstered pull-out settee with a cocktail table and a chair. The cabin has a sliding glass door to the oversized balcony. Passengers enjoy luxurious white linens with pinstripe detail.
MSC Yacht Club in-room amenities include a beverage station with a Nespresso coffee maker, plus a selection of china cups and crystal stemware. The mini-bar is restocked daily with juices, water, beer, and soda.
On departure, we were welcomed with a bowl of fruit, a plate of canapes, and a bottle of Prosecco. Nightly, I found a glass box of confections on the cocktail table and chocolates on the bedside table.
One of the best perks of the MSC cruises is that MSC Yacht Club Passengers enjoy an all-inclusive experience with a drink package, fine dining menus, all-cruise access to the Aura Spa’s Thermal area, and a Wifi package.
Pools and Wet Decks on MSC Seascape
One of my favorite things to do on a cruise is to lounge by the pool. The MSC Seascape has a surprising number of pools.
Each of the pool areas offers its own vibe. The outdoor Infinity Pool on Deck 8 Aft is an adults-only party space. The enclosed Jungle Pool, located on Deck 16 Mid, offers a more relaxed vibe.
The Pirates Cove AquaPark is a humming kids zone, attracting families and the young at heart. It is located on Deck 18 Mid. There, passengers will find waterslides and a pirate ship splash area.
The Yacht Club Pool and Aurea’s Top 19 Exclusive Solarium are limited to guests traveling in those suites. You will have to use a wristband to access those areas.

Entertainment on MSC Seascape
The MSC Seascape offers a range of activities in the evenings. Live entertainment can be found at several spots. Even the bartenders get in the game and entertain their guests with bottle juggling at the Shine Bar.
The Chora Theater is the place for stage shows, from Broadway-type productions to comedy acts to musical montages. Most nights, there is a silent disco.
Deck 18 contains the Pirate Cove Aquapark, the Hall of Games arcade, an XD cinema, a VR360 flight simulator, and motorbikes. The Robotron and the MSC Sport Arena with courts are on Deck 20.

MSC Seascape for Families
MSC Cruises is a family-friendly cruise line. Overall, cruises are an excellent option for multi-generational families traveling together. It is a family-friendly cruise, but it is not a kids-themed cruise line.
The MSC Seascape offers five different kids’ clubs for babies to teens. The Baby Club is for those up to 3 years old and features Chicco products. If you want to leave your baby for dinner or a spa service, they must be 6 months old. This service is free. However, you must sign up for a time slot.
The Mini Club is for kids 3 to 6 and features LEGO products. The Junior Club is for kids 7 to 11. The Young Club is for kids 12 to 14, and the Teen Club is for those 15 to 17.
