Silversea has announced its World Cruise 2028, a 132-day voyage named ‘An Ode to the Moment.’ The cruise will depart Miami on January 5 and conclude in Nice on May 16, visiting 58 destinations across five continents.
Silversea has revealed plans for its World Cruise 2028, a 132-day journey that will take guests to 58 destinations across five continents. Departing from Miami, the Silver Shadow will sail to Nice, visiting 29 countries, including 17 overnight stays.
The cruise, named “An Ode to the Moment,” has been carefully curated by Silversea’s leading destination experts to immerse guests in the unique cultures and histories of the Caribbean, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
The World Cruise 2028 will showcase over 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, allowing guests to explore these iconic landmarks. In addition to the comprehensive itinerary, Silversea has planned curated events and optional overland tours, offering exclusive access to tailor-made experiences.
Bert Hernandez, President of Silversea, stated that the World Cruise 2028 is designed to allow guests to travel at a slower pace, ensuring a deeper exploration of each destination. He emphasized Silversea’s commitment to providing guests with access to iconic landmarks and hidden gems, thus creating unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
The World Cruise 2028 is divided into nine chapters, each themed around a particular region or experience. These include “Anthem of the Tropics,” focusing on the Caribbean; “Reign of the Rainforest,” showcasing South American cuisine; “Lands of Fire and Ice,” retracing the steps of explorers around Cape Horn; “The Beat of Tradition,” immersing guests in South American culture during Carnival in Rio de Janeiro; and “The Sands of Time,” following a path across the Southern Atlantic to Cape Town.
Other chapters include “Nature in Verse,” offering encounters with wildlife in South Africa; “Tales of Spice and Silk,” exploring the Arabian Peninsula; “The Ancient Realm,” delving into the wonders of the Red Sea; and the final chapter, “Echoes of Empires,” taking guests off-the-beaten-path in the Mediterranean.
The Silver Shadow, a guest favorite, will return for the 2028 cruise, offering guests one of the highest space-to-guest ratios at sea, along with the personalized service of a butler. Pre-sales for the World Cruise 2028 will open to Venetian Society members on March 13, with general sales commencing on March 20.
