Subscribe now to get our Cruise Planning Guide and the latest updates! Carnival announced modifications to its new commitment program again, this time in action to feedback from visitors. These updates come a couple of months after they initially introduced Carnival Rewards, which is set to replace the present VIFP Club in June 2026.
Diamond members will now get lifetime status.Anyone who reaches Diamond under the VIFP program by May 31, 2026, will keep that tier completely in the brand-new Carnival Benefits system. This replaces the initial plan, which extended Diamond status just through 2032. Platinum visitors will get a status increase every two years. If you
‘re Platinum by the cutoff date, your tier will still be honored through May 31, 2028. But now, Carnival will transfer 10,000 status-qualifying Stars into your account at the start of each two-year cycle. That’s enough to ensure Gold status and offers you a running start towards requalifying Platinum or reaching Diamond. Kids under 18 will continue to match the status of their moms and dad or guardian on the reservation. Once they turn 18, if they
earned Platinum or Diamond before the cutoff, they’ll be invited to choose in to Carnival Rewards with that status. Turning point awards made through May 2026 will be honored through May 2030. Moving forward, milestone acknowledgment will
be based on days cruised, not the number of cruises. Carnival says these updates were made after listening to guest feedback over the summertime. Numerous longtime cruisers weren’t delighted with the initial
rollout and felt their commitment wasn’t being acknowledged. These modifications are indicated to resolve that, and Carnival emailed cruise visitors today– I got the message myself– outlining the upgraded advantages ahead of the 2026 launch. All of these updates use only to visitors who reach Platinum or Diamond status by May 31, 2026. The brand-new Carnival Rewards program will officially launch on June 1, 2026.
